Privacy Policy

Operator

Voie is operated from Finland by Lovisa Kafferosteri. Finnish law and EU regulations (including the GDPR) apply.

What we collect

Server logs

Basic server logs are recorded for each request: IP address, timestamp, request path, HTTP status code, and response time. These logs are used for debugging and security monitoring. They are stored on European servers and are not shared with third parties.

Search queries

When you search on Voie, we store the normalized query text and a hash of the result set. This powers the trending search suggestions. No personal data is attached to search queries — they are fully anonymous.

API key registration

If you register for an API key, we store your email address, a hash of your API key (never the key itself), and your chosen tier. This data is necessary to provide and manage API access.

API request logs

API requests are logged with: the API key identifier (not the full key), endpoint called, HTTP method, response status, response time, and IP address. These logs are used for rate limiting, usage statistics, and abuse detection.

What we don't collect

• No personal accounts or user profiles
• No tracking cookies. If cookies are used at all, they are strictly functional
• No fingerprinting or cross-site tracking

Affiliate links

Outbound affiliate links route through Voie redirect URLs (/go/:slug). Once you arrive at the affiliate partner's site, they may set their own cookies under their own privacy policy. Voie has no control over third-party cookies.

Data storage

All data is stored on European servers (DigitalOcean, EU region). No data is sold to third parties.

Your rights (GDPR)

If you have registered an API key, you can request:

• A copy of all data associated with your email
• Deletion of your API keys and associated request logs
• Correction of any inaccurate data
